The Twisp river valley. What a beautiful place this was. Saw numerous solar homes up the valley, and on arriving in town saw a notice that a tour of about eight sustainably-built homes was to take place the following weekend. Cool.

For $90 I got a room in the new-ish "Hotel Rio Vista", at the south end of downtown Winthrop. It was great. I'd highly recommend it. Hot tub too.

My lovely room, right on the river.

A view from the balcony. The river was directly below.

Somewhere between the town of Methow and Pateros.

The road up the Entiat river. I have friends who are looking at buying land up this valley, and I wanted to check it out too. The sign at the beginning of the road said it was about 35 miles to the end, and based on the time of day I thought, "There's no way I'm driving all the way to the end of this road." Well, that's exactly what I did. Very twisty with very little traffic. Highly recommended.

On the ferry from Edmonds to Kingston with all the motorcycle commuters. Almost home.
