Left Wellington - First rode cable car, drove around then the ferry. Highly enjoyable! 3 - 3 1/2 hour trip - made it in lounge bar by window, playing cards, drinking beer, listening to the radio - visited with Kiren (Aussie) who we'd met back at the Chateau on Mt. Ruapehu. Arrived in Pictin - drizzly - drove out of town up into hills; camped off the road with a nice view of bays - sick of motor camps!
