Drove on to Nelson - sunny - only windsurf store wouldn't rent rig til Dec - went swimming instead and dammed stream - had a ball! Also shoppped intensively for camping food and found People's Store which was similar to Army/Navy Surplus and had reasonable prices - sweater, shorts, pants, hat, etc.
Drove on out of Nelson towards Marahau (one end of Abel Tasman track) - found a roadside place to camp for night.
